Open Hardware Summit is on the way! This 2013 edition will happen at the MIT on September 6 and no need to say that I’m very excited to be there once again – almost as much as Burning Man 🙂 You can still a get a ticket here.
The Open Source Hardware Association has created a community survey that will be used to have a better understanding on the open hardware community and where it’s heading. It’s the kind of initiative that can really help the movement if all of us play the game. You should fill it now:
I’m also very happy to announce that MakingSociety has been chosen as one of the speakers this year. My talk will be about the state of open hardware entrepreneurship. I noticed a while ago that there were no real data giving a great overview of the open hardware startup movement. I started gathering data that had never been made available before. It’s a 6 minutes talk but I’ll try to make it packed with interesting information. The whole presentation and data will be available on MakingSociety right after the summit.
Looking forward for great discussions and meetings! Are you coming?
